Grades

We supply lumber in four grades: 1st class, 2nd class, 3rd class and Mix (1-2-3). The grade reflects the amount of knots, checks and colour variation.

Walnut lumber

Walnut lumber is available edged and unedged, both in all four grades. Typical thicknesses are 60 mm and 80 mm. Its dark brown tone and pronounced grain make it a favourite for furniture, table tops and interior joinery. We also supply American walnut lumber.

Oak lumber

Oak is a hard, durable hardwood with a pronounced grain, widely used for flooring, stairs, doors and solid furniture. Domestic species are typically 60 mm thick.

Beech, chestnut and other domestic species

We also supply beech, chestnut, ash and cedar lumber. Chestnut and beech are occasionally produced at 100 mm.

Exotic lumber

Tropical species such as iroko, teak, sapele, afrormosia, wenge, dibetou, bibolo, ayous, fraké (limba), doussié, merbau, meranti, African mahogany (khaya), bubinga, ovèngkol, okoumé, azobé, tali, limbali and dabéma are typically 50 · 80 · 100 mm thick.

Dibetou lumber, also known as African walnut, is in stock 60, 80 and 100 mm thick in various lengths.
