Glulam beams
Structural glued laminated timber beams in spruce and fir, made entirely to order. We make straight and curved beams with no length limit; so far we have made beams up to 35 metres long.
What is a glulam beam?
A glued laminated timber (glulam) beam is a structural member made by bonding kiln-dried lamellas with their grain running in the same direction. The layered build reaches lengths and sections that solid timber cannot, and spans large openings without intermediate columns. The roof of our own factory in Düzce, Turkey spans 25 metres without columns on glulam beams.
Made entirely to order
We do not make stock sizes; every beam is made to the project's dimensions. We work as a project partner for companies that deliver glulam structures, producing beams in the section, length and quantity required. We do not install; we produce the beams only.
| Species | Spruce · Fir |
| Form | Straight · Curved (arched) |
| Lamella thickness | 25 mm or 50 mm (depending on size) |
| Length | No limit; longest so far 35 m |
| Section and quantity | Per project |
Curved beams
We make curved glulam beams for arched roofs, domes and special architectural forms. Radius and section are set by the project.
Glue and use
The glue is chosen according to whether the beam will be used indoors or outdoors. Simply tell us the use when you ask for a quote.
Surface protection
For the health of the wood, beams must receive at least one coat of varnish or paint before they leave our plant; otherwise problems can occur. We can apply this first coat, or your own team can apply it with your own finish.
How is the price of glulam beams set?
Glulam prices are set per project. The price depends on:
- Beam sizes (section and length) and the total m³
- The structure: straight or curved beams
- The glue: indoor or outdoor
- The surface finish: varnish or paint
- Quantity and delivery schedule
As every project is different, we review it and talk it through before we quote. Lead time also depends on the project and is given with the quote.
What we need for a quote
- Project information (drawings or structural design)
- Beam sizes and how many of each
- Use (indoor / outdoor) and preferred surface finish
Send the sizes with our glulam beam quote form; the m³ of each beam and the total are calculated automatically. For glulam beams, call +90 533 734 54 64.
